There are 2 ways of downloading the Mobile Contacts
Manager application onto your Nokia device, by downloading over-the-air
or by proximity link (infra-red
or Bluetooth) download.
For
download over the air (OTA):
To download the client over the air, go to the Services application
on the main menu of your phone by pressing the Desk key
and
going to the Services option. Once in Service press the Option
key and select the Add bookmark option. You will be prompted to
enter a bookmark Name, Address and other deatils.
Set the Name field to PhoneSync and the bookmark to http://www.remotelabs.net/syncdownload
. Select Done when ready.
Then
select the PhoneSync bookmark by pressing the center of the
round button. You will be asked if you wish to make a connection
and possibly to sellect the GPRS connection.
Note:
You must have your GPRS enabled and your GPRS setting must be
valid in order to perform OTA download. If you are having problems
please send us feedback.
For
download over proximity link:
Download
the phonesync.sis file
to your PC. It is a Symbian .sis file that will have to be
installed on the Nokia phone. One you have downloaded the
software, make sure that you have remebered where you have
stored the file. You then need to connect the Phone to the
PC using either infra-red (IR) or Bluetooth.
Note:
To switch on the Blouetooth or the Infra-red connection go to
the main menu of your phone by pressing the Desk key
and
go down to the Connect option and use the Bluetooth or infro-red
controls. You will have to switch on / activate the connection.
If
you are using infra-red use your PC infra red utility to send
the mat.sis file to the phone. If using Bluetooth, use your
Bluetooth PC software suite to send the phonesync.sis file to
you phone.
